The criteria for Wellness Destinations
The quality profile of the «Wellness Destination» is based on their self-assessment. The comprehensive catalogue of criteria consists of eight chapters:
- Characteristic features of the place/destination, location
A choice of public relaxing areas is available for wellness guests at any time and free of charge.
- Strategic orientation
Wellness, health and sustainability are part of the strategic orientation.
- Tourism organisation
The organisation has been awarded the quality label level I or has started the process of obtaining it.
- Requirements for Credo establishments
Credo establishments confer at least once a year and focus on the structure of services. The objective is to create added value for the guests.
- Wellness infrastructure
The extensive wellness offers with swimming pools, saunas, relaxation and meeting rooms as well as therapeutic/cosmetic treatments are available all year and seven days a week.
There are gyms, hiking and walking is available and sports gear can be rented.
- On-site competence/consulting
There is qualified wellness, cosmetic and medical staff on-site, and there are hotels with wellness level I or II.
- Services and support
Comprehensive information about the wellness offers is available on the Internet and in printed form. It is also possible to book wellness packages.
The destinations assess themselves according to the criteria. A third person verifies the data on-site. The independent quality commission decides, based on the proposal of the control centre.
